USC Hailed as Champs in Accenture’s Program The Future Competition

University of San Carlos won the sixth annual Program The Future (PTF) competition of Accenture. The final was held on June 29, 2019.

Team Visionaries from the University of San Carlos (USC) was named the Grand Champion in this year’s PTF. The team developed the Champion for Parasight, an application that would help medical technologists quickly detect Amoebiasis.

Accenture’s Program The Future competition aims to promote innovative thinking among students. Developing a workforce with a vast knowledge about artificial intelligence, data analytics, and user experience (UX) design with the help of experienced and expert mentors.

Students participated in the Innovation Bootcamp on May 11 where they experienced a Design Thinking session and provide a concept to the Accenture judges. Judges then selected their top 10 final teams and paired them with their Accenture mentors/coaches.

A whole month was given to the Top 10 teams to develop the concept they presented with the help of their mentors.

On May 25, the top 10 finalists participated at Code Camps with the help of industry experts that conducted coding sessions and help develop the finalists prototypes. The session includes data analytics, artificial intelligence and user experience (UX) design.

Accenture announces winners of Program The Future (PTF): The Accenture Technology Campus Challenge, a competition that aims to spark innovation among Filipino college and university students to design and build technology solutions for industries to help make a positive impact in society. Team Addie from the De La Salle Lipa received the Accenture Technology Vision award for their personal therapy toy for children with ADHD.
