As the Artificial Intelligence (AI) boom continues, Google is reportedly planning to utilize the technology to revolutionize the advertising industry through AI-generated ads.

According to a recent report by CNBC, the tech giant is exploring the use of its new AI language model to assist companies in creating ads.

Internal documents obtained by CNBC suggest that Google aims to leverage PaLM 2 to generate assets that advertisers can use. This includes combining images, videos, and text supplied by advertisers to create engaging and personalized content.

Google’s entry into AI-driven advertising follows strategies by other tech giants.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, recently unveiled its AI Sandbox, providing advertisers with access to early versions of AI-powered advertising tools.

These tools offer functionalities such as background generation, image cropping, and text generation, enabling advertisers to tailor their messages for specific target audiences.

Meanwhile, Amazon is also rumored to be exploring AI-driven advertising solutions. The e-commerce giant is reportedly working on a system that can generate photos and videos for companies looking to launch advertising campaigns on its platform.

Additionally, Amazon is said to be developing a conversational AI search tool that will assist customers in answering their queries, comparing products, and more.

Google recently showcased its advancements in AI during its annual I/O event, unveiling PaLM 2 and other AI features. Alongside AI-generated summaries in Search, Google is also exploring the development of an AI notebook trained on users’ documents, as well as a generative AI tool to enhance app listings in the Play Store.
