on

The Panasonic Lumix CM1 is a 4.7-inch Android smartphone that sports the functionality of a premium camera within.

Under the hood, the Lumix CM1 features a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of on-board memory with a microSD card slot allowing expansion by up to an extra 128GB – handy since this camera can also shoot 4K video.

The device sports a 20MP 1″ sensor, an f/2.8 Leica DC lens, a mechanical shutter, and a control ring which allows you to make adjustments to the settings without having to smudge the touchscreen with the finger.

Other specs of the device include NFC connectivity and a 2,600 mAh battery. The Lumix CM1 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Availability will be limited to France and Germany, with an official launch slated for the holiday season.
