Lenovo unveiled the Ideaphone K900 also known as the Lenovo K900 at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, will finally launch to the public on May 6.

The Lenovo K900 is special in its own way by virtue of being the first Intel Clover Trail powered smartphone, where it has already picked up FCC approval.

The highlight of the Lenovo Ideaphone K900 is the Intel Atom Z2580 dual core processor with a clock speed of 2GHz. The Lenovo K900 boasts of 2GB of RAM, which would pair up with the Atom Z2580 processor to maximize the performance.

The phone is equipped with a massive 5.5-inch Full HD display giving it a 440+ pixel density and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Other than the superb display, the Lenovo K900 will offer a 13 megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash and a front facing camera with 88-degree super wide viewing angle. The camera uses the same Exmor RS sensor, which is found in the Sony Xperia Z as well.

The smartphone will run on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has the Wireless Display feature where users can play the contents from the device directly to the television without any wire connectivity. It has the super fast charging mode where the battery fully charged in 90 minutes. It has 16GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

It will be quite slim at 6.9mm body made out of stainless steel alloy and polycarbonate, and weighing in at around 162 grams.

Basically, the device looks set to give the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and LG Optimus G Pro in terms of display resolution.

The device will be unleashed in China in May and there is no information available about the price. Going by Lenovo’s growth in the region for MIDH devices, this geek reckons that countries like Indonesia, India, Philippines, and Vietnam and any country where Lenovo has strong brand presence will probably be the first markets to enjoy the phone.
