Atama’s Sesame Will Automatically Lock Your Mac When You Steps Away

Published

Atama, a connected devices maker has launched their latest product – a fob dubbed as Sesame. The Sesame is a cigarette lighter sized fob that will automatically lock a Mac computer once the owner steps away from it. The device takes advantage of Bluetooth 4.0’s Low Energy mode and claims that the laptop’s battery will barely be affected by it, says the company.

Sesame works by using OS X’s built-in screen saver password lock function an users will be able to track how far they are in order to engage the screen saver.

For those users who are a bit more security-conscious, there is a two-factor authentication feature in which you will have to enter your system’s password, and press the button on the Sesame as well.

Atama’s Sesame is expected to release later in November where it will be compatible with a variety of Mac desktops and laptops running Mountain Lion and Mavericks and will be priced around $39.99.
