Yamaha Motor Philippines Revs up 5th Grand Prix Finals

Best riders nationwide revved their engines before the crowd as the Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated staged its 5th Yamaha Grand Prix Finals. The Grand Prix finals served as a venue for a championship match between the best of the best, a rematch for some, and a proving ground for others.

The riders came from Cebu, Naga, Clark Pampanga, Bukidnon, Santa Rosa, Antipolo, Digos and Davao. The track was filled with motor race aficionados, ready for a shot at representing the Philippines in the 11th Yamaha ASEAN CUP Race in Indonesia.

Vying for the opportunity to be the best club group, each rider pumped up for the race to represent their respective groups. Yamaha motorcycles were perfected scene in the race track with their thunderous roars under three categories: ACR Vega Force i, ACR Mio125 Mx i and Sniper Mx150.

As riders crossed the finish line, only a chosen few would be declared as this year’s best and will be headed off to the big dance.

For the ACR Vega force i category, representing the Philippines are: Mac Don Sande from Malaybalay Bukidnon as the champion, first runner up Fritsy Claveria from Manila and second runner up Ephraim Onahon of Malaybalay Bukidnon.

For the ACR Mio125 MX i category, winners are: Fernando Masato from Manila (champion), first runner up John Emerson Inguito from Manila and second runner up Victor Laude from Manila.

For the Sniper MX 150 Category, riders going to Indonesia are: Vingie Coloma from Davao City as the champion, 1st runner up Durraine Dan Carlos of Malaybalay Bukidnon and 2nd Runner Up Clifford Bacus from Digos City.

The Yamaha Grand Prix Finals was slated at the Robinsons Novaliches last October 19.
