Wafer Models Phils’ Modeling Workshop Opens

Doing up for its 15th year of existence as a modeling agency that produces only the top, quality models in the fashion scene patronized by a strong clientele-based, Wafer Models Philippines opens once again its prestigious school season of modeling & personality development workshop in Cebu next month.

The 27th wave preceded by an earlier workshop early this year, and with another one coming up towards the end of the year, courses on modeling in ramp, print and commercial advertisements will be offered. Distinct also is an inclusion of rare subjects like Fine Dining and Styling, will be tackled in the creative program.

The modeling workshop will start on September 8, 2013 at the SM Boardroom Conference Center and on September 22 at Park Mall Cebu. Enrollment is ongoing until September 14 in SM Cebu and September 26 in the latter. Workshop fee costs P6,000 exclusive of the cost spent in the restaurant in the Fine Dining class, and other miscellaneous. Kids and adults who have the aspiration to develop or to enhance the skills in modeling and personality development are open to enroll.

Joining also the Wafer team in this workshop are lens man Mark Philip Dales of the Framework Events & Media Ltd., homegrown designers fresh from the Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP) Axle Que and Edward de Castro for the styling, and event venue partner Chillage.

“Most of the primary purpose of parents why they enroll their kids is for personality development…The edge of Wafer Modeling agency is that our models have the general criteria that most clients look for,” Marlon Garcia Wafer quips, Wafer Models Philippines proprietor.

The workshop, which usually runs for two months, will cap with a fashion show.

Wafer Models Philippines will also hold its 14th Anniversary celebration in Fashion Photography/Exhibit Competition from October 1-9 at Chillage. Photographers and budding ones may join this contest where subjects will be the models of Wafer modeling agency. The winner will be announced on the 9th at the same time new faces of Wafer Models Philippines will also be introduced.

Wafer modeling agency is the first one to teach live mannequin lessons to its students. It was offered starting in their 25th season of workshop.

Wafer Models Philippines was incepted in 1999 where five years after, Wafer established the modeling workshop to wannabes. Right now, it has a vast clientele ranging from products to services and brands. Among its products are Nikki Taylor, Miss Teen Philippines 2004 1st Runner Up, and Maria Elena Gabaya, proprietress of Fashion House of Maria Elena. Wafer Models Philippines is a member of the Clothes for Life Foundation, Inc. for three years now.
