Truck Accident Kills Six

A cargo truck coming from Brgy. Mantalungon, Barili lost its brakes while passing along barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City killing six passengers at around 12 noon Thursday.

The truck, carrying livestock and some passengers, reportedly lost its brakes when it passed a downhill curve in Sitio Mabugnaw, Carcar City.

In a radio interview, one of the passengers of the truck said they were in route toward Argao town to sell their livestock they had bought from Mantalungon, Barili town, when he heard the driver saying he lost brakes.

The truck fell on its side after it crashed against a concrete fence. The injured passengers were rushed to Carcar Provincial hospital.

Carcar City is located at about 40 kilometers south of Cebu.
