Rainy Season Has Begun,PAGASA Says

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) earlier Monday declared that the rainy season has begun.

In a tweet posted by ABS-CBN News Alerts (@ANCALERTS), it said “It’s official: PAGASA declares the rainy season has begun.” It further said quoting PAGASA that conditions of this season is “characterized by southwesterly to westerly windflow, high humidity, presence of rain clouds.”

Meanwhile, PAGASA, through its website http://www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/ announced that at 4:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm “Dante” was estimated based on all available data at 1,030 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes (22.2°N, 133.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move North Northeast at 15 kph.
