MCIA To Hold “Sinulog sa Airport”

The Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority under GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC) will be hosting the “Sinulog sa Airport” today, January 17.

The said event aims to formally welcome the tourists, locals and balikbayans who are visiting Cebu for the most awaited and iconic Sinulog Festival.

Sinulog kits will be given to arriving passengers to keep them well-nourished as they participate in the Sinulog Activities. The Sinulog Kit contains a Sinulog shirt, bottled water, biscuits, whistle and the official Sinulog 2020 guide from the Sinulog Foundation Inc.

Meanwhile, 7 delegations from different schools and universities such as Carcar Central National High School, Gun-ob National High School – Senior High, Indiana Aerospace University – Nemesian Dance Theater, Tingo National High, Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PHILSCA), Sta. Rosa National High School – Senior High Dance Troupe, and the University of the Visayas Cheer Dance Team are scheduled to compete in the event’s ritual dance contest.

The 1st runner up of the said contest will receive P100,000 pesos, 2nd runner up will receive P75,000 and the 3rd runner up will receive P50,000 along with special prizes to be given to the Festival Queen and Best Street Dance Presentation. (MLC)
