Former “That’s Entertainment” Star to Talk in Colour Me Ladies Conference

She has had more than her fair share of fame in the limelight. She entered show business in her early teens, and was fortunate to have the right things happen to her career.

Karen Timbol was a popular multi-media teenage personality who was one of the members in Kuya Germs’ “That’s Entertainment”. She graced the covers of various magazines and was heard on the radio through the singles from her album that was distributed by BMG Pilipinas.

Citing her numerous achievements will bring us back as early as 1990 when she won first runner-up in Eat Bulaga’s Beautiful Girl, earning the Miss Teen Philippines title in 1992, and having been a Bb. Pilipinas candidate and a finalist in the Elite Model Look competition simultaneously in 1995. These were all amidst her acting and singing career as she likewise did local and international movies. She left showbiz in 1999 only to be requested to sing as female lead vocalist for Hotdogs band, which led her to performances to as far as Australia, Canada & U.S. from 2003-2005. Last year, she had the opportunity to be part of the teleserye “Princess & I” from ABS-CBN.

She is a mother of two beautiful kids and has been married to Ariel Atendido for five years. She’s been attending Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) since 2003 and now leading her own D group.

She is currently busy with her wedding planning business. She believes that weddings ought to be simple but beautiful. But more importantly, that wedding vows must be sustained as a new episode in the couple’s life blooms, requiring regular maintenance.

Colour Me Ladies Conference is an up and coming event for the women of Cebu celebrating the different important roles that these female creations juggle up each day–homemakers, wives, working ladies, and to an extent even raising kids singlehandedly. Dubbed as “Lovin’ Life!’, it is expected to gather 1,000 women from the different Christian churches in Metro Cebu for an afternoon of inspiration and transformation. It seeks to empower and move women to have hope, following Christ with all their hearts and rising above their present situation. It will be a time of refreshing oneself and bonding with women-to-women in the sphere.

The conference will be held at the Atlantic Hall of Waterfront Hotel & Casino on March 8, 2014 from 1p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is at P500, inclusive of snacks, goodie bag with books and other freebies from event sponsors.

Registration outlets are in OMF Lit Bookshops at Robinsons Cybergate and Banilad Branches, Citigym at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and in selected local churches (Citichurch, Quest Fellowship, Bradford UCCI, CCF, Calvary Chapel, Cebu City Alliance Church and Banilad Alliance Fellowship).
