Easterlies Bring Light Rains Over PHL’s Eastern Section Monday

Most parts of the country will have sunny to partly cloudy skies on Monday as easterlies remain to be the dominant weather system now affecting the country, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA said due to easterlies — warm winds from the east — continue to affect the eastern section of the country.

In its Monday forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced in Bicol, Soccsksargen, Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao regions and the provinces of Quezon and Palawan while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The temperature in Metro Manila on Monday will be range to 24-34 degrees Celsius.

It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.

The state weather bureau has not issued a gale warning as the fisherfolk are safe to venture into the sea. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
