CPADAO Awards Cops for Successful Anti-Drugs Drive

The Cebu Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Office (CPADAO) distributes additional incentives to police personnel involved in the province’s anti-drug campaigns in the last quarter of this year.

A total of P1.6 million were distributed to136 policemen from 11 police stations in the province during a simple ceremony held at the Vice Governor’s office on Wednesday.

Acting-Governor Agnes A. Magpale leads the presentation along with CPADAO Head Ivy Durano-Meca.

Magpale, in her inspirational address lauded the awardees for their sacrifices in the anti-drug drive.

What you are going to receive today is very little compared to the lives that you have risked in, in making sure that Cebu [Province] will even to become a Drug-free.”Magpale said.

Durano-Meca reminded the awardees that the relentless drive against illegal drugs is in line with the 6-star Agenda of Governor Hilario P. Davide and she believed that her office is implementing the agenda of the administration.

If you recall, Governor Davide and Vice-Governor Magpale had made it to a priority to launched the relentless drive against illegal drugs, this prioritization is in fact is part of the 6-star Agenda of the Provincial Government, and in giving this award we believed that we are implementing this agenda of this administration.”Durano-Meca said.

She also expressed that the Provincial Government will give its support to the police force until the Province completely eradicates the illicit drug trade.

In giving these awards, we would like to show that we are committed to implement such program in collaboration with police agencies, until the complete eradication of illegal drugs in our province.” Mecca added.

Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO)Director PSSupt. Eric E. Noble, also among the awardees, told his subordinates to continue the pursuit with safety.

Tuloy lang tayo mga pulis sa ating tungkulin, pero ingatan natin ang ating mga sarili, Officers safety.” Noble said.

Noble also expressed gratitude to the provincial government for its support in keeping the morale of his men.

“Daghang Salama tsa Provincial Government of Cebu for being so supportive in our cause, it’s the only province in the entire Philippines to have this program, it really helps in keeping the morale of our men in the field.” He added.

The awards were based on the successful operations in the last quarter of 2016. (Chad Cordova Bacolod)
