What’s outside can be the reflection of what’s inside and as the old cliche goes, you are what you eat–or what you use daily for the matter. Makeup and the latest fashion trends will never be enough to be beautiful. The right disposition and mindfulness of your overall health are the treats that you and your body rightfully deserve.

Three ways to counter check these are as follows:

1. Eating fruits than sweetened foods

Eversince we were little kids we hear and read that sugar is bad, and as we grow older, we are more conscious of our health so we find ways to intake less of it. Diet versions of sodas and artificial sweeteners are widely available in the market. Findings from all of the studies suggest that consuming artificial sweeteners is just as bad for you as sugar, and  the former may even exacerbate it’s negative effects!  If you must use a sweetener, opt for honey instead, for it’s a natural alternative to sugar. But the best way to satisfy a sweet tooth is by eating fresh fruit. This is way better and safe.

2. Using organic skin care
So as you are conscious what you take in, it is also important to check what you are putting in–meaning unto your largest organ, your skin. Yes, eating organic food is good for the health but have you thought of going organic with skin care as well? The famous, all-natural brand Human Nature is available in almost all grocery stores around Cebu and the famous brand Snoe has reached Cebu as well. They’ve just opened a branch in One Pavillion Mall, #7 Duterte St., located in Banawa. If you’re using other products, read every ingredient listed on the product labels and do your research.

3. Eating raw foods
Try to incorporate as much raw or living food in your diet as possible. Eating this way is very healthy, as the food preserves all it’s natural enzymes, vitamins and nutrients, so your body is receiving whole nutrition. It helps maintain proper brain chemistry, so your system remains more balanced. They say as you grow older your skin goes clear and glows.
