Threads Adds Highly Requested ‘Retweet’ tab
Threads by Meta is adding highly requested features to enhance the app’s user experience and streamline content discovery as a new update now features a Reposts tab, more commonly known as the “retweets” tab for ease of access to reposted threads and having reposts to a user’s following feed, to see more on what other people are reposting.
This was announced by Instagram’s Chief Executive Officer Adam Mosseri in a post on the new social media platform.
“Two small updates for Threads that are worth mentioning: we’re rolling out a new Reposts tab on your profile so you can see all the threads you reposted in one place. We are also, based on your feedback, adding reposts to your Following Feed 🙌🏼,” Mosseri said.
This comes as the new social media platform moves to continue the momentum that it had from their release and retain the users who signed up, according to a blog post from analytics firm Similarweb, Threads’ daily active users on Android experienced a sharp decline to 10.3 million users from the over 49 million daily active users the platform had early July.
The Reposts tab will allow users to have a centralized view of all threads that you’ve reposted, which improves upon the app’s current user experience.
This adds to recent Threads updates which include being able to see all the threads you’ve liked, sorting of the accounts you follow, and the ability to add custom alt-text. (GFB)
