‘Yellow’ Rainfall Warning Raised over Metro Manila, Nearby Luzon Provinces

Manila (PNA) — Due to rains brought by southwest monsoon enhanced by typhoon Falcon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a “yellow” rainfall warning in Metro Manila and the provinces of‬ Bulacan, Zambales, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan‬ at 8 a.m. Friday

Under the heavy rainfall warning system, a yellow rainfall advisory is raised when the expected rainfall amount is between 7.5 mm and 15 mm within one hour and likely to continue.

Communities given this advisory are advised to be aware of the weather condition and warned that flooding may be possible in low-lying areas.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains affecting Rizal, Laguna, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Quezon may persist within three hours.

These information are based on current radar trends, predicted tropical cyclone track and all available data.

“The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 11 a.m. Today,” PAGASA concluded. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
