Western Lex Hotel Cebu Initiates Gift-Giving to Typhoon Ravaged Kids

Not excluding itself from the initiative of giving to the victims of the typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), Best Western Plus Lex Hotel Cebu does its“Dear Santa, I wish…”, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the hotel for the typhoon victims, this December.

50 kids from Medellin, Cebu, who were ravaged themselves by the typhoon, were randomly picked to be the recipients of the gift-giving initiative.

The undertaking is open to all of the hotel’s guests. Hotel guests who want to participate will just have to register their names at the hotel’s front desk, choose a child they want to give Christmas gifts to by picking the photo of the child which is hang on the Christmas tree displayed at the hotel lobby, and then give the name and wish list of the child (written on the child’s photo) to the front desk. Donors will then put their gifts under the Christmas tree with their names on it, email addresses and the name of the child of their choice. The program will run until December 15, 2013.

All gifts will be given to the children in Medellin on December 21 by the Best Western Plus Lex Cebu team.

All guests who have participated in the cause will be acknowledged via email and in the hotel’s official Facebook page. Guests who need assistance in purchasing the gifts they will give may approach the hotel’s front desk associates.
