Artist Ko Cebu continues to look for entries for Vispop 3.0 2015 with their second Vispop 3.0 Songwriting workshop this Wednesday January 21, 2015 1:00 pm at the UV New School of Art & Design 4/F Gullas Medical Center (Banilad Campus).

Vispop is a songwriting campaign that encourages Visayan-speaking composers and music enthusiasts to write quality Visayan songs that speak of today’s generation. It is a brainchild of Artist KO, a non-profit, non-stock organization that supports individual creativity, skill and talent. Artist KO has artists, musicians and entrepreneurs as members. Vispop was conceptualized in 2009 and had its first staging in 2013.

The first batch of Vispop finalists and winners captured the hearts of not just Cebuano listeners but non-Cebuano speaking music fans all over the country as well. It produced well-crafted songs such as Duyog, Laylay, and PapicturakoNimo, Guapo, among others. The songs have been topping charts nationwide. Balay Ni Mayang alone landed 3rd in an MOR Manila countdown.

The second batch of Vispop finalist had Labyu, Langga by Jerika Teodorico winning the grand prize.

It is now on its third year. Deadline for all entries this year is January 31, 2015.
