Video Contest on Environmental Protection and Preservation On

Negros Occidental (PIA6) – – The Provincial Government through the Provincial Environment Management Office is launching a 30-seconder public service announcement video and a one to two-minuter motivational video, both dealing with environmental protection and preservation.

Both categories aim to highlight the state of the Negros environment by presenting the different issues affecting its conditions as well as show the quality of the environmental resources present to support and sustain the communities that depend on it.

This contest is open to professional and amateur filmmaker with an all original content that will best promote environmental awareness among Negrenses.

The video entries must not infringe any third party rights with no content displaying violence, profanity, sex, or direct attacks on individuals or organizations.

There shall be no identifying mark or watermark within the video since all submitted videos to this contest becomes PEMO property and participants agree to grant PEMO a royalty-free license to copy, distribute, modify, display and perform publicly and otherwise use, and authorize others to use your video for any educational purpose and in any medium.

Videos will be judges on creativity and originality – 30 percent; content – 30 percent; technical quality – 30 percent; and impact and relevance – 10 percent.

Winners for each category will receive each P 7,000 for the winning entries, P5,000 for the first runners up, and P3,000 for the second runners up.

Deadline for submission of entries is on November 13, 2015 (Friday) and judging will be on November 18, 2015 (Wednesday).

Please submit entries personally in *.mpeg format and using high definition resolution (HD, 1080p or more) for broadcast quality to the Provincial Environment Management Office, NOBC, Corner Gatuslao & North Capitol Road, Bacolod City.
