Yamaha launched the first ever mobile app in the Philippine motorcycle industry and it was released during the inauguration of their 500th Yamaha 3S Shop located at BF Homes, Paranaque. Hosted by Ai Dela Cruz, the event was shown live through the Yamaha Facebook page. Earlier in the week, Yamaha posted cryptic messages about what the Yamaha Rev Buddy was, and netizens were quick to join in on the guessing game. During the event, Mr. Hiroshi Koike, the President of YMPH, gave a hint that that it would change customer engagement with Yamaha, a tool that will help provide intangible value for riders.

Before the revelation, the show introduced their special guest, a moto vlogger that is idolized by many riders, Benedict Maniquis a.k.a MotoDeck. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Motodeck shared his struggles in terms of reserving a slot to get his motorcycle serviced and his purchase a Mio Aerox that brought him all the way to Zamboanga because of its high demand in the market. Stories such as these is why the Rev Buddy came to be, the goal of offering Filipino riders, not just quality products but providing a better overall experience.
