San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors agreed in a 4-man trade deal on July 18, 2018, moving Kwahi Leonard to the Raptors.

ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski said in his Twitter post that the San Antonio Spurs trade two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kwahi Leonard and Danny Green for 4-time NBA All-Star, DeMar Derozan and Jakob Poeltl of the Toronto Raptors along with a protected 2019 first round pick.

It was reported that Kwahi Leonard wants out of the Spurs. Kwahi, born in Los Angeles, California was eyeing to transfer to the Los Angeles Lakers, which recently acquired 4-time NBA MVP LeBron James via free agency but is considering to play for the Los Angeles Clippers as he does not want to be a second fiddle to LeBron.

The Spurs and Raptors trade is one of the biggest moves during this offseason after LeBron James signed a 4-year $153.3 million deal with a player option in the fourth year. (Aljun Cainghog)
