Solve Your Beauty Blunders!

Published

on

Any of these mishaps has happened to all of us. Don’t think it’s the end of the world just when any of these occur. These tips are here to rescue you from the distress!

Beauty Mishap #1: You tried that vibrant, electric green eyeshadow you’ve just bought. After stepping outside your house, the color looks too extreme under broad daylight.

Quick Fix: Blot your lids with the makeup sponge you have in your powder compact. It helps tone down the vibrancy. Or try to draw a bold line across your lid with an earth-toned eyeliner and blend it in to have a softer look. This helps to keep less contrast with your skin.

Beauty Mishap #2: The weather has kept you rather pale and you decided to opt for a self-tanner but oops, you’ve missed a spot. Or two.

Quick Fix:  Apply foundation on the problem areas and top it off with a deep bronzing powder to blend the color with the rest of your body.

Beauty Mishap #3: Evident streaks of sweat under your breasts, armpits or at the back. We live in a tropical country after all.

Quick Fix: Go to the restroom and try to hit problem areas with the hand dryer (with no one around of course,) or you can go inside the cubicle to blot the moisture with a paper towel. Be wary that silk and stretch jersey in light colors will show moisture stains, and perspiration is most likely to show on tight clothing.

Beauty Mishap #4: Burning your forehead with a hot flat or curling iron. Ouch. This usually happens when you’re in a hurry.

Quick Fix: Dab a soothing aloe vera gel, take aspirin to stop inflammation and try to wear a nice hat. Once it starts to heal after a few days, apply petroleum jelly to minimize scabbing and conceal with an oil-free powder foundation.

Beauty Mishap #5: You blink after you’ve finished showing some love on your lashes and after any milli-second, there ended up with the black splotches on your eye lids!

Quick Fix: Wait for the product to dry up because wiping it off while wet will only make it worse. Once dried up, just gently scratch it off.
