Seniang Delays Resumption of Classes in Argao

The resumption of high school classes in Argao town may be delayed for at least a week due to bad road accessibility brought about by Tropical Storm Seniang.

The effects of the cyclone has hampered class schedules at the Calasagan National High School in Argao as administrators said the campus is not currently accessible because of the muddy roads leading to the school.

Local disaster council said up to eight schools in Southern Cebu were damaged because of Seniang, including nearby town Ronda. Seniang also damaged a building of the Barili Elementary School and a fence in the Malolos Elementary School.

In Alcantara town, unprecedented floods washed away the local’s houses, crops and animals.

Residents in Southern Cebu lost animals, properties and houses to floods brought by the storm last December.
