Rain Over Visayas, Mindanao — PAGASA

State weather bureau said rain is forecast for the Bicol region and the Visayas and Mindanao areas on Friday.

PAGASA’s Samuel Duran said this is due to the tail-end of a cold front and the trough or extension of a low-pressure area near Mindanao.

Duran said light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt in whole Visayas and Mindanao.

For Friday, there could be isolated rain over the eastern section, but Metro Manila may expect generally good weather.

PAGASA said that while a low-pressure area has been detected south of Mindanao, it has little chance of entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

“Sa December, may inaasahan pa tayong isa pero for the next three days, wala pa tayong nakikita,” Duran said over GMA News Online weather report.
