Poe, Escudero Take Separate Ways To Woo Voters

After wooing the voters of Toledo City in Cebu, leading presidential aspirant Senator Grace Poe and her running mate Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero took separate ways on Thursday with Poe heading far north of Luzon and Escudero going down south in Mindanao.

On the third day of election campaign, Poe traveled to attend campaign rallies in Ilocos Norte and Sur with the hope of sharing her own platforms of government to the Ilocano voters.

Escudero, on the other hand, went to Kidapawan, Kabacan and Sultan Kudarat in an effort to cover as many areas as they can during the three-month election campaign period.

On Friday, the Partido Galing at Puso (PGP) tandem will meet again along with their senatorial candidates in the province of Pangasinan.

In Cebu, Escudero told the media that they intend to visit the vote-rich Cebu at least four times in the next three months.

”Of course, Cebu is a big province and we have to visit more areas. We want to show and prove that Cebu is important to us not only during the campaign but if we will be given the chance because Cebu and Visayas have big role in the country’s progress,” Escudero said in a press conference.

Both Poe and Escudero are enjoying the highest ratings in the recent surveys for president and vice president but promise to work more to reach even the far flung areas of the country considering they have no enough political machineries as compared to their rivals.

”Surveys change and we intend to conduct our own weekly tracking survey so that we can decide and react on a weekly basis as well,” Escudero said.

”Perhaps we are the smallest party, smallest funding and machinery compared to others but with God’s grace, the support of the people is there based on the recent (Pulse Asia) survey, we are still leading,” Escudero said.
