The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth)is set to hold a simultaneous run nationwide this coming February 15, 2015.

Lawyer Karisma Agraviador, PhilHealth7 PR Officer, on Wednesday said the run project is a part of PhilHealth’s 20th anniversary on February 14, 2015.

“But to give chance to everybody to join this run project, we will make this on Sunday, February 15,” Agraviador said.

During the Kapihan sa PIA at the PIA office, Agraviador shared that this project is now on its second round since it was first launched in 2013.

According to Agraviador, this is to give everybody an awareness regarding the importance of running or walking, as part of the physical health’s fitness exercises to any individual.

She said this project will be simultaneously done in 13 sites nationwide with a gun starts at 3:30 in the morning.

The venue for the Cebu run project is at the Sumilon Road, Business Park, Cebu City.

Agraviador said there are at least five categories at stake for anybody who is willing to join this fun run and at the same time willing to pay a designated amount due to each category upon filing the application to PhilHealth7 designated offices.

She said the project’s income will be used to finance those cancer victims who are in dire need of financial support.

The five categories are 20K wherein applicants shall pay P7,500; 10K, P4,000; 5K,P2,000; 3K, P1,500; and 3K for Kiddie, P1,000.

Because the Philhealth office presumes all applicants are fit to run, “there’s no need for physical examination to all runners,” Agraviador said.

“However, if you think you can not make it because you are not feeling well, you’re not force to join, or if you try ,you may just walk within the category you are applying for,” she said.

She added that every runner will be provided with singlet, race bib, finisher’s certificate, race medal, and post race refreshments.

Agraviador added that all first prize winners will receive gold medals, second prize winners, silver medals, and the third prize winners, bronze medals.

She said anybody can start filing their applications today and even until February 15, before the hour of games starts.

The PhilHealth official also expects more runners this year comparing to the 2013 run wherein more than 500 persons have registered in joining the project.

At the same time Agraviador also encouraged all government agency workers in the region to join this fun run activity.
