PhilConstruct 2014: Construction Industry, Bullish Than Ever

Published

on

Bullish, that’s the most apt description of the Philippine construction industry. From 2006 to 2013, the sector has been steadily growing, and with the current year, an outstanding double digit projection is anticipated to boom.

As a testimony to this positive outlook, hundreds of eager major industry players from the country have signed up to attend the PhilConstruct 2014. Staged for the 25th year in Manila, 5th in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, PhilConstruct is no doubt the biggest construction event awaited every year in the Philippines. It has been one of the best platforms for the construction industry’s biggest movers to gather, meet and greet, conceive ideas, and ink deals that further shape and improve the country’s construction landscape.

The countdown for this grandiose construction event begins more importantly for the Visayas region which was heavily devastated last year after two consecutive natural disasters (a magnitude 8.0 earthquake and super-typhoon Haian) hit key areas in Bohol and Leyte respectively, and some areas in Cebu.

The environmental crunches have only brought in more blessings for the economy as it paved ways for more opportunities in the construction and building industry to expand as millions of dollars, both from public and private entities, have steadily poured in. And though suffering from the aftermath, Visayas has never been this aggressive as today to build itself anew.

PhilConstruct Mindanao, on the other hand, is as excitable as its Visayas counterpart. This year, the building and construction sector is once again put in a significantly important position to offer new building technologies and business solutions that will address the pressing challenge brought about by the energy crisis in the island.

PhilConstruct Mindanao 2014 is the perfect opportune for investors and proprietors to come down south and be engaged in a serious business of showcasing new building technologies and the latest trends in the industry.

Celebrating its silver anniversary, PhilConstruct Manila reaches an important milestone in history as still the most important and most awaited construction event in the capital in the last 25 years.

Foreign and local investors are even more confident having felt the 32.5% growth in the construction industry, and that is only at the first quarter of this year. What better way to lay down an extensive spectrum of construction products, services, and technologies than PhilConstruct 2014.

All over the archipelago, key players from the building and construction industry are expected to grace this annual trade fair. From manufacturers of concrete to suppliers of rescue and emergency equipment, the event is expected to welcome a wide range of audience whose functions are important in the business. Among those expected too are manufacturers of building materials, doors and windows, floor finishes, fire detection equipment, and bathroom fittings to mention a few.

Service providers for security and identification systems, CCTV and remote monitoring systems, smart card technology systems are also present to showcase new innovations on the kind of service and technology they can offer.

PhilConstruct 2014 will be staged with the following schedules: PhilConstruct Visayas 2014 on 05-07 June at the Waterfront Cebu, Lahug, Cebu City, PhilConstruct Mindanao on 04-06 September at the SMX Hall, SM Lanang Premier, Davao City, and lastly PhilConstruct Manila on 05-08 November at the SMX Convention Center and World Trade Center, Pasay, Metro Manila.
