The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will continue to cause rains over parts of the country on Wednesday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Mimaropa, western and central Visayas, Negros Island, Caraga and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm, on the other hand, will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the archipelago.

Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southeast over extreme northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Light to moderate winds blowing from southeast will prevail over Visayas and the rest of Luzon, and coming from south to southeast over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina C. Arayata/PNA)
