PAG ASA UPDATE: Tropical Depression “MARCE”

SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “MARCE” was estimated based on all available data at 240 km East Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (9.0°N, 128.4°E) with maximum winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 17 kph.

FORECAST: Rains with gusty winds will prevail over Caraga, Central Visayas, Negros Island Region and the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Camiguin and Southern Leyte. Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger possible flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over Davao Region, rest of Eastern Visayas and of Northern Mindanao. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms is expected over Bicol Region, Palawan and the rest of Visayas and of Mindanao. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago with moderate to rough seas.
