Another week, another set of price increases for gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that will take effect today.

Oil firms Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Seaoil and Shell announced in separate advisories a big-time increase on gasoline at PHP1.05 per liter, and a PHP0.80-increase per liter for diesel.

Meanwhile, oil firms Seaoil and Shell also announced in advisories that their kerosene prices will increase by PHP0.75 per liter.

Moreover, oil firm Petron announced an increase of price for their LPG by PHP3.35 per kilogram. The price of Solane LPG also increased by PHP3.27 per kilogram.

Other oil companies are expected to make their own respective adjustments to prices of their oil products.

This week’s increase on gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and LPG comes after a slight rollback in prices just last week.

It was just last Tuesday that oil players implemented less than a peso rollback on their prices.

Data from the Department of Energy show that year-on-year price for oil rose as gasoline increased by PHP12.85, diesel by PHP10.30, and kerosene by PHP8.70 per liter. (GFB)
