No Filipino was reported injured in the deadly raid by militants on a university in Pakistan that killed at least 21 students, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday as it condemned the attack “in the strongest terms.”

The Philippines, in a statement, called attack on Bacha Khan University in Pakistan as “cowardly and reprehensible act.”

“As we extend our most heartfelt sympathies to those who lost their loved ones in this tragic incident, the Philippines expresses the hope that the perpetrators will be identified and held responsible,” it said.

While no Filipino casualty was reported in the incident, the Philippine Embassy in Islamabad continues to monitor the situation, the DFA said.

It also added that the embassy “stands ready to provide assistance to Filipino nationals affected by the incident.” (PNA) BNB/MDC/EDS
