Moment of explosion nears –North Korea

Published

on

North Korea posed a new threat early Thursday declaring that nuclear attacks on US targets have been authorized coupled with the warning, “the moment of explosion is fast approaching.”

According to Pyongyang’s military command, the now authorized attacks against the US would come from a “smaller, lighter, more diversified” nuclear force.

This new nuclear threat by North Korea have been declared just after a few hours the US announced the deployment of an American ballistic missile defense system to Guam. The Pentagon earlier stated that the deployment was meant to strengthen defense capabilities of American citizens and US forces based in Guam.

According to North Korea’s state news agency KCNA, there is no telling whether a war will break out in Korea or not, and whether it would break out today or tomorrow. KCNA also declared that the US administration brought about this grave situation for trying to violate DPRK’s sovereignty and social system.

DPRK stands for Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the official name of North Korea.

Analysts say that North Korea’s technology is still not ready for a full-blown nuclear attack especially against the more developed West. However, analysts also state that North Korea does have commendable military firepower, enough for its threats to be taken seriously.
