Meet the Bands for BINISAYA Film Fest Kick Off Party

This Friday, July 4, 2014 will be BINISAYA Film Festival’s kick Off Party at Handuraw Pizza Gorordo. The event is organized by Bomba Press and partnered by MetroCebuNews. Headlining the event are TEETAN, HEREINAFTER, THE PERVS, PALTIK and THE SPIRALS.

TEETAN headed by Christian Linaban just released their first album last March 2014 under Bomba Press. Their sound which fused Cebuano lyrics, tribal – infused grooves and voodoo chants is described as a doomsday soundtrack for the future cyborg takeover.

If Cristian Linaban’s name sounds familiar to you then you may have heard his other projects as well, because he is also the man who brought us the breakout experimental films “Ang Gugma ni Olivia” and “Aberya. ”

TEETAN debuted their music in Cd format last March 2014 and is part of Vandals on the Wall’s List of Most Anticipated Filipino releases of 2014.

HEREINAFTER is a punk – ska band currently recording their debut album with Bomba Press. They are composed of Expedito Siaboc on guitar/ vocals, Mark Siegred Querikol on bass and Arnel Ong on drums.

PALTIK released their 1st album under DLV Studios entitled “Here Come the Guns of the South” last May 2013. The album featured the cult favorites, “We Will Be Lions”, “What Do You Stand For? “, and “R&R”. Right now they are recording their 2nd album under Bomba Press and are targeting a release late this year.

PALTIK is composed of Bangbang on Bass/Vocals, Pyter Isidro on Guitars/Backing Vocals and Intoy Corpin III on Drums/ Percussions.

Still part of Vandals on the Wall’s List of Most Anticipated Filipino Releases of 2014, the punk, garage rock band THE PERVS have already recorded 6 tracks for their up and coming album under Bomba Press. Two tracks have already been debuted, “ Wind- Up Frogs” and “ Counting Sheep” on Soundcloud and Ndfy.

THE PERVS are composed of Ernest Dino on Vocals, Bugs Asylum on Guitars, Rapi Secson on Bass and Karl Lucente on Drums.

BINISAYA Kick Off Party will start at 9:00 pm. Entrance is free.
