Mandaue Chamber of Commerce Celebrates MBM 2020 the New Normal Way

Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (MCCI) will celebrate the Mandaue Business Month (MBM) 2020 in the “new normal” way, as most of their activities will be held digitally to adhere to the safety measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The pandemic has greatly affected the business industry in the country, especially businesses in Mandaue. The MBM 2020 theme: “Unleashing Potentials, Igniting Possibilities to a Better Normal”, focuses their activities in gearing up the business community to be adaptable to the ongoing health crisis.

A great shift to digitalization is needed in order to adapt and do business during this time, as strict safety measures are implemented to ensure the safety of everyone.

The chamber paid tribute to the frontliners during the opening ceremony of MBM 2020 which also fell on National Heroes Day.

MCCI announced that their activities will mostly be held online including the MBM’s flagship activity, the MCCI Business Summit.

The chamber also announced that they will be opening their own youtube channel, where they will upload their past forums, seminars, and events making it accessible to the public.

As part of their service to the community, the chamber will turn over surgical masks, surgical gloves, face shields, alcohol, and personal protective equipment to Mandaue city frontliners in 27 barangays.

MCCI will also continue its advocacy in protecting the Butuanon river. MCCI will again partner with the local government in building an eco-wall along key areas to preserve the river.

The chamber and their members will also be joining the Great Cebu Sale, the first digital sale that offers deals from various business industries to be held on September 15 to October 31 this year. (ASC)
