The first structure to rise in this 20-hectare property, the Mandani Bay Show Gallery, is a world-class architectural masterpiece that brings Cebu closer to becoming one of the world’s famous waterfront destinations, soon joining such icons as the Thames River in London, Manhattan in New York, the Sydney Harbour, Victoria Harbour in Hongkong, and the Marina Bay in Singapore.

This 1,500-square meter Show Gallery is a collaboration of prestigious international architects, engineers, and designers; altogether making sure that every detail meets the highest global standards.

Whilst modern in its extensive use of high quality materials, including glass and wood, the Show Gallery was designed to be in harmony with nature. Wrapped in full-length curtain walls, the structure lets in natural light during daytime, and serves as a beacon of light at night. Its wide roof eaves extend prominently and effectively shade the interior from direct sunlight; fins that clad the external walls have further enriched and articulated the overall elevation design.

At the heart of the structure is an open-air courtyard, which reinforces the brightness of natural light, and features a pond and foliage in keeping with the project’s natural aesthetic. In addition to the courtyard, the gallery is surrounded by water, giving it a sense of floating on water.

Uniquely Mandani Bay is the inverted roof form with a timber-cladded ceiling, extending from the eaves all the way to the interiors of the main gallery. This feature blends the interiors and the exteriors, nature and the habitable areas, into one.

This marriage of nature and architecture creates a vibrant hub that kindles the four core passions of the Mandani Bay lifestyle: Culture, Creativity, Adventure, and Water.

A GRAND WELCOME

The Main Gallery’s grand ceiling makes this area the focal attraction of the building. A breath-taking nine-square-meter scale model, crafted in Hong Kong, exhibits the Mandani Bay vision. On the Main Gallery’s most prominent wall is a massive three-dimensional vicinity site map; a scale model of the topography surrounding the project. This map, a work of art in itself, underlines the strategic position of Mandani Bay relative to Cebu’s significant places of interest.
