After eight months, the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas has reopened its Mandaue City district office as one of its biggest offices in the region.

With the reopening, Mandaue City residents no longer need to travel to Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu, or Danao City to renew their licenses.

According to LTO-7 director Glen Galario the new office located inside the Times Square mall in barangay Tipolo can accommodate 400-500 clients per day.

The Mandaue City District Office and the Mandaue City Licensing Office closed eight months ago following the change of ownership of the J-Centre Mall, where the previous offices are located.

Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes welcomed the reopening of the LTO-7 facility as the government is committed to enhancing the convenience and efficiency of public services.

“We no longer need to go to far places to avail of basic services. Not only will it save time, it will make the entire process smoother and more efficient,” said Cortes.

Galario said that the reopening of the new and spacious district office in Mandaue took time because of the documentary and processing of other requirements.
