Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices will follow the trend of rising fuel prices in the Philippines this year as cooking gas prices increase for the month of September.

Multiple LPG providers have now increased prices as oil firm Petron implemented an increase of PHP0.65 per kilogram for their LPG tanks then went into effect Wednesday— with their autoLPG prices also increasing by PHP0.36 per liter.

The oil firm said in an advisory that price adjustments were made to reflect the international contract price of LPG for this month.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of September,” the advisory said.

Moreover, Solane LPG prices also increased by PHP0.64 per kg.

The implemented price increases for LPG in September equates to a range of PHP7.04 to PHP7.15 rise in LPG prices. (GFB)
