London’s “West End, A Benefit Concert” Slated in Cebu

London’s “West End, A Benefit Concert” will stage in Cebu on August 2 and 3, 2013 in SM Theatre One and Radisson Blu, respectively. This concert musical program aims to empower the event organizers’ passion to support the Dream  Project of the Juanito I. King Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO   Certification (PCNC) and the Department of Social Welfare and   Development (DSWD).

The foundation provides subsidies for occupational, physical and   speech therapies, special education, and psychological services to   individuals with adaptive challenges. The goal for the benefit concert   musical is to provide endowment for the treatment of children with   special needs. Investments from sponsors will be used to organize and   promote the event. In addition, a percentage will be directed to   finance the much needed therapies administered by Buildabilities,   Inc., a multi-disciplinary therapy center in Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City.

The concert musical will feature London-based artist, Filipina   chanteuse Irene Alano-Rhodes of London’s West End theatres and Cameron   Mackintosh. She will be in Cebu for the benefit concert musical and   she’s definitely going to captivate the hearts of her audiences with her exquisite repertoire of songs from her impressive career. Among the  theater projects she was part of were Miss Saigon at the Theatre   Royal, Drury Lane, where she played Gigi, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar as well as both Lady Thiang and Tuptim in The King & I in London Palladium.

The concert will bring in a 12-piece orchestra, a music ensemble by the   University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) using Cebuano   talents. The concert will truly be a celebration of music while   benefitting the greater Cebuano community.

Concert schedules are:
Aug 2: SM Theatre 1: Matinee 2pm / Gala 8pm
Aug 3: Radisson Blu: Dinner Gala / 6pm to 10pm

Ticket prices are:
Aug 2 Matinee: P 600 (First Level) / P 300 (Second Level, Gala: P   1,200 (First Level) / P 600 (Second Level)

Aug 3 Dinner Gala: P 2,500 inclusive of Dinner Buffet (regular rate   per person).
