Soon to open next month, the Cebu Ocean Park is the second oceanarium in the Philippines and the first in the Visayas and Mindanao region being first is the Manila Ocean Park in Luzon.

Cebu Sealife Park Inc. is the same team that brought both Manila Ocean Park and Cebu Ocean Park.

The opening of the largest oceanarium in the country is said to attract more tourists and generate more jobs.

Cebu City Mayor Labella appealed in a meeting with the management of Cebu Ocean Park to prioritize the hiring of Cebuanos.

The Cebu Ocean Park is said to hire around 200 employees in the first year of their operation.

The 1.5-hectare ocean park holds 3,500 cubic meters of seawater and a 7.2-meter water depth that is home for sharks, colorful reef fish, stingrays, and many more.

The ocean park promises to not only awe the visitors but also educate them about the importance of marine wildlife in our planet. Cebu Ocean Park has also tied up with the Department of Education (DepEd) to conduct field trips in their oceanarium to let the youth experience the ocean and its wildlife first hand.

The visitors of the Cebu Ocean Park could already tour the oceanarium with the Journey Experience package for P800. The package offers the Jungle Trek, Creepy Critters, Lorries, Seven Seas, Stingray Interaction, Oceanarium Journey, Ampitheatre and Main Tank Gallery.

The visitors can also get an up close and personal experience with the animals in the Cebu Ocean Park. The Cebu Ocean Park offers a Fish Spa for P100 per 20 minutes, a Sea Trek for P1,200, Crocodile Cage experience for P 2,000, and swim with the stingrays for P1,000.
