The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday that an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with rains over Mindanao.

PAGASA said an ITCZ — thick clouds coming from the south of Asia and considered a breeding ground for low-pressure areas (LPAs) or potential cyclones — now prevails in Mindanao.

The presence of ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over CARAGA, Zamboanga Peninsula and the province of Palawan.

Fair weather or partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will continues to prevail over the rest of the country including Metro Manila.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range 24-33 degrees Celsius for Tuesday.

It added moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.

The state weather bureau has not issued a gale warning as the fisherfolk are safe to venture into the sea. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
