Expect cloudy skies with rains in most parts of the country on Monday due to two prevailing weather systems, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The state weather bureau said the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is affecting southern Mindanao and a tail-end of a cold front is prevailing over northern Luzon.

For Monday forecast, the tail-end cold of front and the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Visayas and the Regions of Northern Mindanao, CARAGA, Bicol, Mimaropa, Calabarzon, Ilocos and the provinces of Cagayan, Batanes and Aurora.

It added that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the south will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southeast to south over Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, PAGASA weather forecaster Obet Badrina said that there are no weather disturbances seen near the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next three days that may develop into tropical cyclone.
