Through a renewed partnership made official in May 2016, Home Credit Philippines, a global consumer financing company, and Sun Life Grepa Financial Inc. (Sun Life Grepa), the fastest-growing insurer in the top 10 life insurance companies in the Philippines, now offer an improved insurance package for Home Credit’s non-bank loan borrowers. The new package protects family members by paying for unpaid loans left by their loved ones and also provides them with some extra financial support.

Home Credit and Sun Life Grepa first announced their partnership in May 2015. Under the enhanced offer for 2016, the insurance policy now covers 120% of the loan. This means the beneficiaries of the deceased borrower stand to receive any amount left over after the payment of the outstanding balance. The new offer also allows all Home Credit customers under 65 years old to avail of the same insurance package together with their loan.

According to Home Credit Philippines Head of Marketing Michal Smejc, they are constantly looking for ways to protect their customers financially. “Home Credit is built on a business model that gives our customers a fast, easy and simple way to avail of the things they need. Protecting them from any additional financial burden in the event of an unfortunate circumstance is included in the services we offer.” He added, “We partnered with Sun Life Grepa for this because we believe that we are one in our mission to provide all Filipinos the best financial protection options.”

Joen Songco, Sun Life Grepa Vice President for Affinity Marketing, is likewise proud of the trust Home Credit has given to Sun Life Grepa. “As a major player in the life insurance and financial services industry, Sun Life Grepa has always been on the lookout for different ways to give financial protection during the times Filipinos need it the most. Losing a family member is painful in many ways, and we want to be able to ease financial burden of the families. We are glad our partnership with Home Credit has given us the opportunity do just that.”

To avail of this enhanced insurance offer from Home Credit Philippines and Sun Life Grepa, customers simply need to notify their service agents who will also process their insurance application. More information is also available at Home Credit’s official website www.homecredit.ph.
