Dancing to the tunes of today’s hit R&B songs and other dance favorites, the waiters perform a four to five minute dance number in every 30 to 45 minutes interval inside the restaurant. This entertainment will be enjoyed during weekends between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting this September 14 to November 17.

Hikay conceptualized this idea to offer Cebuanos a different  gustatory experience—one that’s unique and innovative– while enjoying the sumptuous treats from the restaurant’s kitchen! “We came up with this idea to give Cebuanos a different dining experience,” said Bruce Cortes Bollozos, operations and marketing manager of Innoland Retail Division, Hikay’s operator.

Asked what sets Hikay apart from the rest of the other existing Filipino restaurants in the urbansphere, Bollozos mentioned that it is innovativeness as manifested in the authentic Filipino dishes they serve. “We innovate dishes into something,” he said. Must-trys in the restaurant are their “Monggo” Soup , and “Puto” (sticky rice) and “Latik” (heated sugar with coconut milk) for dessert. The restaurant also boasts of a light sea-feel ambiance resembled in the off-white and aqua blue interiors. “We give customers a light d sea feel, since that is what Cebu is known for, the beaches, Bollozos said.
