Government Operatives Seize “Shabu” Worth PHP 600,000

Cagayan De Oro City (PNA) – The government’s anti-illegal drug operatives on Tuesday afternoon seized about 300 grams believed to be “Shabu” during a buy bust operation in Misamis Oriental.

Wilkins M. Villanueva, regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Northern Mindanao, said that the contraband was seized from the suspect identified as Alnoden A. Saripada, 33, of Vamenta Subd. Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental.

He said that the operatives recovered from the suspect one piece rectangular heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of Shabu and 30 plastic sachets in different sizes of Shabu weighing more or less 300 grams.

Villanueva said that the suspected Shabu with a street value of about PHP 600,000 was forwarded to PDEA Laboratory here for quantitative and qualitative examinations.

He said that the suspect is now temporarily detained at the PDEA 10 Jail Facility for booking and documentation while the filing of charges for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Anti-Illegal Drug Law has been readied. (PNA) CTB/CD
