Born in August 10, 1994, Cebuano singer-songwriter Ferdinand Aragon is the son of Flordelito and Amelita Aragon.

Aragon was the 1st runner-up in Philpop 2018 for his song “Di Ko Man”. In 2019, he also bagged the first prize for the song “Matag Paraiso”.

Aragon attended preschool at Cherubs Learning Academy in Talisay City and high school in Southern Bethany Christian School of Minglanilla. Later on, Aragon spent his college days in the University of the Philippines in Cebu.

“Even when I was a kid, I was into singing. But it was only when I entered college that I started to get serious about it. It was also around this time when I joined the worship ministry in our church, which improved my musical abilities further,” Aragon said to MCN

Everyone, especially a music artist has someone or something that he/she makes an inspiration, for Ferdinand, it was God who made him pursue his dreams in music.

“It’s God, I do this all for Him,” Aragon said.

Being a music artist does not only develop your singing skills but it also makes you grow as a person.

“Music has been the source of both my confidence and insecurities, and I believe both success and failure makes you grow,” Aragon said.

Aragon also revealed that if given the chance, he would really like to perform with fellow OPM artist KZ Tandingan.

“KZ Tandingan. She is a very energetic and interesting performer, but it’s how she conveys and puts the emotion in her singing that really amazes me,”

Meanwhile, Filipinos are slowly coming back to its roots which is the Original Pinoy Music (OPM), and Aragon encourages everyone to listen to it.

“OPM gets better the more people listen to it. It’s a symbiosis. Let’s help one another,”

When asked about his future plans and projects, he said,

“I really don’t plan a lot. I wait. But maybe release a couple singles a year and collab with local artists. Also, join competitions. I also see myself working in our church’s music ministry, writing and producing original music for the church,” said Aragon.

Meanwhile, Aragon recently released his latest single entitled “Libu-libo” under VIVA Records. (MLC)
