Frontline Services to Rage Barangay Cogon Ramos

Another Friday means another barangay will benefit from the free services of the Cebu City Government’s Frontline Cluster Services through the ‘City Hall at Your Doorstep’ program of Mayor Michael Rama.

For the Fourth time around since the program started in 2010, the activity will be raging Barangay Cogon Ramos once again to extend helping hands to its residents Friday this week October 23, 2015.

Among the services to be offered are medical consultation and dental extraction with free medicines, random blood sugar testing, blood typing, seedling distribution, story-telling and feeding for children, and pet registration and anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats.

Other services that will be offered for free are repair and installation of street lights and artesian wells, consultation on traffic issues and concerns, consultations on the ‘Let there be light program’ and urban poor related issues, free hair cutting, job placement referral and pre-registration on job fair, pruning and trimming of trees, consultation on drug related issues, and legal services, among several others.

Meanwhile, while most of the services are for free, government regulated fees such as payment for getting of the Community Tax Certificate or Cedula and getting a Local Live birth, marriage and death certificates, and a National Statistics Office (NSO) authenticated birth certificate will apply.

Mayor Rama aims to bring the services of the 22 departments comprising the city government closer to the people and avail it for free sans going to the Cebu City Hall. The program has become institutionalized and regularly conducted every Friday.

The activity will kick off with a Holy Mass at 8:30 in the morning and will end until everyone will be served. The activity will be held at the vacant lot at the back of the the Barangay Hall of Cogon Ramos beside their Day Care Center.

For the last quarter this year, the city’s frontline services is spearheaded by the Cebu City Medical Center.

Looking back, Friday last week it was successfully held last October 16 where thousands of residents of Barangay Sambag 2 enjoyed and availed of this city’s frontline services. (Cebu City Public Information Office PIO/Greggy Jiggs P. Senados)
