Fire Hits Brgy. Ermita, 600 Families Lost Homes

A fire set ablaze over 200 house and displaced 600 families on Tuesday in Sitio Bato Brgy. Ermita, Cebu City, February 5, 2019.

Cebu City Fire Station received the alarm around 1:15 pm. It was raised to second alarm around 1:19 pm. At 1:26 pm it was raised to third alarm. It was raised Task Force Alpha at 1:33 pm and was raised to Task Force Bravo at 2:12pm. All available fire trucks were then deployed to the area after It was raised to General Alarm around 2:22pm.

The fire was declared under control around 3:07 in the afternoon and was declared fire out at around 8:27 pm.

600 families with 2,578 individuals were left homeless and 273 house were destroyed by the fire. Five civilians were also injured in the said fire.

The victims of the fire are evacuated at the City Central School-Ermita Extension and the Ermita Sports Complex. (ASC)
