Farmers Get P890k Worth of Machineries

A total of P890,000 worth of farm equipment were distributed among farmer groups from the cities of Bago, Himamaylan and Silay, in a turn over rites held in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City.

Acting governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, along with board member Victor Javellana and provincial agriculturist Atty. Japhet Masculino, led the distribution of three hand tractors worth P130,000 each and five threshers amounting to P100,000 each to farm associations.

Recipients of the threshers were Newton Camingawan Para Farmers Association, Mambagaton Farmers Association, Palay Farmers Association, Hda. Lolita Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association, and Mercedes Farmers Irrigators Association.

Meanwhile, those who got hand tractors were the farmers of Mambagaton Cluster Farmers Association, Mailum Organic Farmers Association, and Gen. Malvar ARB Irrigators Association.

Lacson conveyed his appreciation to the Department of Agriculture (DA) for these equipment.

Masculino also shared that the distribution of farm equipment is in line with DA’s Rice Program.

Likewise, Lacson encouraged the farmers to utilize the “blessings” given by the government. (LTP/LML-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
