Extended Play Friday Live

The Monastery presents Extended Play Friday Live this May 22, 2015 8:00pm. This time around the event will feature a Rock vs. HipHop Jam.

Bands to be performing include Bethany, Wedensdays at 8 and Sunday Sunday. While the Hip Hop Jam will be presented by Akademik Raskals and Discipples of Ubec.

Bethany is an alternative rock band formed during 2008 in Cebu, Philippines by brothers Luis Quibranza III, Angelo Quibranza, and Paolo Quibranza. In 2009, longtime friend and musician Jan Osbert Dela Cerna completed the line up. The band is primarily known for their melodic songwriting, intricate guitar hooks, and electric live performances. Currently, Kevin Borromeo is playing bass for the band.

Sunday Sunday is composed of Bobbi Olvido on vocals/guitar, Cortz Cortes on guitar/vocals ,Robbie Decilio on bass/vocals and Jeremy Rigodon on drums/vocals.

Akademik Raskals is a Hip-hop group that has Ice Bergg, Phat Scrapp, Zeus, & Vile Kush for its members.

They are under the record label, G.O.A.T. Records. The group is also affiliated with 6000 Goonz & Drop Out Club.

The Monastery is located at 976 Veteran’s Drive, Lahug Cebu City, Philippines Cebu City. Entrance to the event is free.
