Enjoy Seaside Dining at ‘Parilya’

The Urbina family’s Laguna group is once again adding their expanding legacy: Parilya- a new dining venture nestled in the seaside area of Il Corso in South Road Properties.

Inspired with the Cebu delicacies, Parilya came to represent Cebu with its gastronomical boast distinctly authentic Cebuano dishes that are a must-try for every visitor.

“Parilya is our tribute to beautiful Cebu. This is where we start. This is for Cebuanos and Cebu,” said Jill Urbina Viado, Franchise Director of Laguna Group.

Parilya, which is a tagalog word of griller, has an indoor and outdoor dining area that has an open-air dinner rendezvous, offering a real ‘grill taste’, while enjoying the fantastic views of the sea.

Visual feasting aside, the menu at Parilya is equally delicious as it features the three all-time favorite Filipino-Cebuano dishes: lechon, seafood and grill.

A variety of freshly prepared foods are available – from steamed fresh fish and seafood, to mouth-watering grilled chicken, unique meat dishes and crunchy-looking Cebu-style lechon – all recipes are prepared by no other than the corporate chef and managing director Raki Urbina of Laguna Group, making sure that diners are satisfied from the first bite to the last.

Among the must-taste signature dishes of Parilya are crispy lechon, lechon sandwich, chorizo gourmet burger, Balbacua, kalderitang kanding or goat stew, linarang, crispy dinuguan, penato flan, mango otap, otap with ice cream and grilled seafood.

The Parilya restaurant is a perfect casual place to gather with friends, family and even to date your special someone while sharing an oceanside dining experience completed with low-cost variety of Cebuano dishes that will keep you coming back for more.

“We made Parilya a casual dining not a fine dining because we wanted to open this to all walks of life. If you are on budget, you can definitely afford Parilya since it offers customized prices depending on the number of diners,” Viado explained.

Parilya is soon to be the landmark of al fresco seaside dining in Cebu. With a 327 square-meter area, it has 200 seating capacity and can accommodate bookings for any occasions or events for their personalized function areas.

Starting today, the Parilya is open on Mondays to Sundays from 10:00AM until 11:00PM, and is now serving lunch, merienda and dinner.

Parilya is the sixth restaurant operated and owned by the Laguna Group. Others are the Café Laguna restaurant chain and Laguna Garden Café which serve unparalleled Filipino flavour, Lemon Grass which offers Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, U Kitchen which specializes in home-cooked style comfort food, and Ulli’s Streets of Asia which focuses on the exotic flavors and urban styles of the street foods in Asia.

The Laguna group has also franchise branches of Café Laguna in Iloilo City, General Santos City, Davao City, Dumaguete and Cagayan de Oro.
